Abstract:

The requirements to distribute and manage UHD and 4K video in AV and IT environments is increasing exponentially. New high-resolution, video-intensive applications in defense, intelligence, post-production, simulation, live events, and other industries place extreme demands on AV and IT infrastructures, requiring higher bandwidth and performance while limiting signal latency and pixel loss.

Addressing these requirements in mission-critical applications where maximum video quality and integrity is paramount – while maintaining an upgrade path to support future, yet unidentified formats and resolutions — involves new approaches to signal management technology.

Attendees of this session will learn:

·  the pros and cons of current video extension and switching approaches and what impact they have on performance and signal integrity

·  how customers and integrators can evaluate and apply the appropriate signal management technology solution to meet the specific application need and budget
