China Capacity Surge Will Drive 8K
This presentation will review DSCC’s outlook on capacity for LCD and OLED displays. The massive wave of investment in LCD capacity underway in China has led to an oversupply in the panel industry, and the surplus will become more severe in the coming years. Looking for new sources of demand, panel makers will push 8K at aggressive prices for 65″ and 75″ sizes, driving the adoption of 8K LCD TV as a premium alternative to OLED.
